HOTEL REVIEW: INHOUSE BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Hotels in Taipei are everywhere. It's just that you seldom find the regular names like Holiday Inn, Intercon, Novotel, Sofitel ... all those big name hotels. You just look for hotels in like AGODA or Tripadvisor and get to read the reviews of those who stayed. I was told that the best area to stay at is at the Ximending Area. This area is where shopping and food is alive and it gets even more alive at night. It's true. It's like flowing with people at night.

So we decided to look for hotels in the area. Credits to Joy for being able to find the hotel. And after reading reviews we decided to book at Inhouse Boutique Hotel. There are actually several Inhouse Hotels in Taipei so be very careful when booking. I had to research on pictures and reviews from people for this hotel. I don't want to end up in a scary motel and eventually would ruin my trip. So far the reviews were good so it was a go.

Upon exiting Ximen station we were amazed on how nice the area is. It feels like you are in the middle of everything. We arrived almost night time so lights were on. It was really amazing to see all the people walking and it would just make you stop and be shocked. According to my map the hotel is just 220 meters from the Station which is perfect especially when you use train just to get to every area in Taipei.

Small alley going to the hotel

The hotel is in a small alley with some food stalls and shops around it. I was starting to get nervous because I was already thinking of a motel type of hotel or cockroach infested hotel. I did not even know it was the hotel since the sign was not lit. When we got in I was surprised. It looks like it was still new and it had the hip vibe in it with some DJ playing some music. Lot's of young people hanging out and having drinks. Check-in was a breeze and the lady was really friendly.

The main lobby of the hotel

There's only 1 elevator since it's only 6 floors. I think the elevator could only fit 5 people in it and it is really slow but it's nice. So I paid extra to get the Elite Room and once I entered it was really nice. It had a small hallway before you could get to the main bedroom. It has a Kind Sized Bed and it's really comfortable and the pillows were soft. TV was huge and it even had a BOSE Bluetooth Speaker where you could connect your phone. There's a window but it's really difficult to look at since it is covered with layers of thick curtain. I guess they don't want light coming in.

Small hallway leading to the bed.

Comfortable King Sized bed.

The bathroom was really nice. It has a separate tub and a rain shower style shower head. The toilet was high tech. It is like in Japan where you push a lot of buttons and has certain features just to clean whatever it is that needs to be cleaned.  Overall, the room is really nice!

Modern Bathroom and Really Clean

Breakfast was included and in the morning you need to select on which breakfast you would like. Food is really good. It was not disappointing. Well, if you don't get full you can always go out and there are lots of restaurants and food stalls nearby.

Overall, Inhouse Boutique did not disappoint me. If you are not into the high end type, you'll love this hotel. If you like to be in an area where it's near to shopping and food then this is the best place for you. It's clean, it has a friendly staff, even the housekeeping people are very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
