Travelling by Boat

Traveling on a Cruise Ship to certain places is not really as popular as traveling on a plane. I only know a few who have been in Cruise Ships. They think that they will get dizzy or there's not much to do. But actually there's tons of things to do in a Cruise Ship and you won't even feel it's moving. Well, there are times where you'd feel it but not much.

Cruise ships are like mini cities. You have shops, restaurants, theaters, pools, bars and some even have rock climbing and surfing activities. Well that depends on what kind of ship you're at. Of course, the huge ones are the ones where you get to do a lot of things. Then you get to go out of the boat once you're docked. So you won't get bored or tired of being inside the ship all the time.

I have been on Cruises several times and I always have a great time. The longest was 14 days and the shortest was just 5 days. Check-in process always amaze me because despite of having 3,000-6,000, it's a breeze checking-in. It's like in the airport, you leave your luggage and you get it once you're in your room. the last Cruise I went into was "Dawn Princess" by Princess. It's one of the oldest Cruise Ship of Princess and, in fact, I believe they retired it already. Our port of entry and exit was Sydney then we went to different ports of New Zealand. Fiords, Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Akaroa, Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga and Bay of Islands. We were able to explore all ports and we had fun. It was something different and a memorable one.

We always get the regular cabins since we are mostly out having a good time. Cruise cabins are small but they still have that feel of being in a hotel. They get cleaned everyday, beds are comfortable and pillows as well. If you are the claustrophobic type then get the cabin with a window or a balcony. You'll be okay with it. On new cruise ships, most cabins have balconies. On small ones, you have few choices.

Noe there's food. Food is 24/7. It's part of what you've paid for. From Breakfast till Midnight Snack. You can go on a buffet or the main dining area for a sit-down more classy experience. Dinners a re extra special. You get to have your same table and waiter with assistant all throughout the cruise. In the end, you're friends with them already and they already know what you like.

Activities for the next day are given the night before. There's dance lessons, karaoke, drinking games, kids games, trivia games, acting classes and many more. At night there are Performances by in-house Cruise performers or guests performers. They get to perform in the cruise theaters. There are chances they invite known singers/performers. Shopping is done when the boat is cruising. There are daily sale items which you need to find out from the Cruise Advise or Activity. It's like you're in a mall when you get to the shops. Also, most cruise ships have Casinos. They open when they are ashore.

Overall, I enjoy cruises. You get to rest and have fun at the same time. It's like bringing your hotel with you wherever you go. You get to see lots of places and at the same time you wont have to worry about where to sleep or where to eat. I have been cruising for quite some time already and I never get bored. You get to meet a lot of people and gain friends. It's not just being able to go places, it's also being able to enjoy it with others. I guess that's the purpose of these Cruise Adventures, enjoying it with everyone else.
